About
Created by Herbert W. Armstrong College and Armstrong Dance, with original new music from Golden Globe-nominated composer Brian Byrne (Heartbeat of Home), Celtic Throne II—Psalter of Ireland is guaranteed to be an experience unlike any other!
Celtic Throne II reflects the wide-ranging talents and interests of its creators and dancers. First and foremost, it’s an Irish dance show, with plenty of the fancy footwork and formidable stomps made world-famous by iconic shows like Riverdance, Lord of the Dance and Heartbeat of Home. “We adore these shows; they are an inspiration,” says director Brad Macdonald. “We wouldn’t be doing this if these amazing productions hadn’t blazed the trail for us. But Celtic Throne II is totally unique—we are blazing our own trail!”
Watching beautiful, happy children, some as young as 7 and 8, dancing and playing music will melt your heart. Sensational gymnastics and martial arts will have you on the edge of your seat and remind you of watching the Olympics. Our live musicians electrify even the most reserved audiences, transporting them to a cozy Irish pub. The dance and music are enhanced by stunning costumes, an elaborate set, sensational lighting and special effects, and dramatic video storytelling on a gigantic, state-of-the-art LED screen.
“Imagine taking a classic Irish dance show and blending it with a West End musical and a Hollywood movie,” says Macdonald. “This is what we have done with Celtic Throne II—Psalter of Ireland. You won’t find better value for your money—it’s three experiences in one!”
The Story
Celtic Throne II—Psalter of Ireland traces the history of Ollav Fola, a sixth-century B.C. sage and legislator who travels from the Near East to Ireland to perpetuate the legacy of Jerusalem in the British Isles.
Ollav’s story begins with Jerusalem’s destruction in 585 B.C. With his homeland in ruins, Ollav and his entourage—including Princess Tephi, a descendant of the king—journey to Eire (Ireland). For 40 years, Ollav rules Ireland from County Meath on the Hill of Tara.

In Ireland, Ollav Fola, whose legacy is recorded in ancient Irish chronicles, immortalizes the traditions of royal Jerusalem, establishing Eire as a musical island and a paragon of culture and law, scholarship and education. Through it all, Ollav instills within the Irish people a passion for singing, music and Irish dance.
